Content Marketing Account Manager
- Location: Winchester, Hampshire
- Competitive salary, dependent on
experience, plus profit-related bonus, critical illness
cover, life insurance
Writing Machine is a leading communications
agency with a very impressive client base, including leading
B2B
and B2C brands such as TomTom, HP, Mitchells & Butlers,
Arqiva and Esri (UK). With a raft of innovative new products
and services developed specifically for the new world
of content marketing, the company is poised for further
and significant growth. We now have an exciting opening
in Winchester, south of London, for an ambitious, bright
and creative Account Manager to join us in this journey.
What you'll learn
Great content doesn't come about through
chance. At Writing Machine you will soon become a zealot
for competitive messaging,
distinctive tone and clear, logical structure. And if you've
not got one already, you'll soon learn the importance of
a fanatical attention to detail.
What you'll do
You'll be pleased that you've got at least
two years excellent agency experience because you'll be
drawing on that from
day one as you assume responsibility for much of the content
for a global brand. Not only will that prospect excite
you, but you'll see European travel as something of a bonus.
Naturally, you'll be managing other accounts as well and
getting involved in new business development. You'll be
liaising daily with both clients and suppliers and will
be comfortable managing commercial negotiations and financial
reporting.
What you'll become
We will help you develop
into a leading practitioner of Content Marketing, putting
you at the forefront of today's
rapidly evolving world of social media communications.
You will be able to draw upon Writing Machine's heritage
of content led marketing and communications to develop
and run multi-channel communications strategies which produce
CMS driven microsites and iPhone apps as well as more conventional
collateral.
For us, CIM Diplomas are certainly useful,
but an excellent academic degree even more impressive.
The successful candidate
must also have a minimum of two years experience within
marketing along with a mature appreciation for project
and relationship management. Naturally, first-rate communication
and editorial skills are a key, as is a confident and professional
manner. And, whilst not essential, the ability to speak
a second language in addition to English would be an advantage
to your application – as would a clean, current driving
licence.
In return, we are offering a friendly working environment
in which you can learn new skills from a team with a genuine
passion for what we do.
To apply, email your CV and a covering
email to clairef@writingmachine.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Other roles
Freelance writers
If you are a freelance writer with exceptional
experience of writing communications for b2b and b2c clients
we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for examples
of case studies, web copy, newsletters, whitepapers, opinion
articles and direct mail and if they're for technology
companies, even better. Email a selection of about 6 together
with your CV to clairef@writingmachine.com.
