Writing Machine recently launched a service that enables
organisations to benefit from multilingual copywriting without
having to manage multiple supplier relationships.
Known as international copy management, the service starts
with Writing Machine’s hallmark copywriting to create
an English language version, before working with specialist
translation agencies to create versions in multiple languages.
The foreign language versions are then checked
for style by nominated experts in the language, some of
whom are Writing Machine copywriters.
Whilst the service is suited to any multilingual
marketing campaign, it is particularly valuable for ongoing
publications – like the Nortel Networks Dialogue programme.
Over the last two years, Penny Osborne, Project Manager
at Writing Machine, has been co-ordinating the publication
of five different language versions of the magazine, much
to the customer’s satisfaction.
“It makes sense for Writing Machine to
manage the translation process,” said Penny, “because
it gives Nortel Networks a single point of accountability
for all the written content on the project. The relationship
we have with both the translation company and the language
experts is excellent, and we can deliver translated versions
of the magazine in five languages in just a matter of days.”
