Writing That Sells is a two-day course
delivered in your offices for up to 12 delegates at a date
convenient to you. The course is very interactive, with
lots of writing exercises and even homework!
Who should attend?
Anyone who writes sales communications or literature will
find this course essential. Previous delegates have
included
sales managers, account managers and sales support staff.
What will delegates learn?
We know that every organisation or department has its
own specific writing challenges. That's why we use a
modular approach for our Writing That Sells training.
The course teaches delegates the core skills they need
for smarter and better sales writing planning, structuring,
crafting and reviewing. Plus you can select three 'In
Practice' modules on day two, which apply the theory
to your particular needs.
As standard, the course will teach delegates how to:
- identify competitive
messages – and
how to bring them into everything they write
- plan and structure their writing – to
make sales writing easy and repeatable
- write with clarity – to
make it easy for the reader
- be engaging – turning
facts into benefits and staying positive and direct
- use clear layout -
with bullets, boxes, bold text and captions
- proofread - techniques for that final polish
Choose your own In
Practice Modules
In addition, on day two you can choose three of the following In
Practice modules:
- executive summary writing
- tone of voice*
- persuasive PowerPoint
- briefing other writers
- cold emailing
- grammar - breaking the rules
- punctuation
Bespoke modules
We can also work with you to develop bespoke modules
suited to the precise needs of your business or department.*
*These will need bespoke development and will therefore
incur an extra charge.
A writing trainer
The trainer will be an experienced writer,
who will demonstrate the techniques we use to make our
writing professional, punchy and engaging. As a result,
delegates will not only learn theories that can underpin
the way they write for sales in the future, they will
also have the opportunity to implement those theories
under
the watchful eye of someone who writes for a living.
After the course, delegates will be sent the course notes
as a reference document for the future. These explain,
expand and reiterate all the points raised throughout the
course, so delegates will never be stuck trying to remember
what they were taught. In addition, all delegates are signed
up to our monthly Trade Secrets of Writing emails - giving
them further writing hints and tips.
